The other day, I told a client something that shifted everything for her.
She said, “I’ve been trying to solve this problem for two years.”
But when we zoomed out, it became clear she’d only been actively solving it—in a new, strategic way—for 2 1/2 weeks (when we began working together in month-to-month Telegram coaching ).
The rest of the time? She’d just been sitting in it. Frustrated, exhausted, changing things, but never really seeing the root. Now we are finally getting clear on the unmet need she serves, her visibility gaps, her messaging gaps, and creating a plan that works for her schedule as a full-time employee and toddler mom.
And in my response to her about the “I’ve been trying for two years” thought, I told her the story of my plant.
A Monstera I’ve had since 2020 started dying last year. I grew it from a seedling to a giant plant but then it started drying up. I tried everything—more water, less water, vitamins, a new location in the livingroom, new soil, more light, even talking to it. (Yes, I’m that plant mom.)
Nothing worked.
Until my mom came over, lifted it from the pot, and showed me the truth:
The roots had wrapped around themselves. The plant was strangling itself from the inside and I had been letting it happen….
Not because I didn’t care.
Not because I wasn’t trying.
But because I couldn’t see the real problem.
Business is the same.
👉🏽 Sometimes the problem isn’t your content or your pricing.
👉🏽 Sometimes it’s the way you’re thinking about your offer.
👉🏽 Or the way your nervous system reacts to the idea of getting more clients.
👉🏽 Or the fact that your strategy doesn’t match your current season of life.
So much of what looks like “a demand problem” is really a misdiagnosed root issue.
And the longer we try to fix it in the wrong way, the more energy we waste and the more discouraged we become.
That’s what this week’s episode is all about.
How to know if you’re over-tweaking, under-supporting, or solving the wrong problem entirely.
And how to finally untangle the roots and move forward with more clarity and ease.
And if this email already has you thinking differently about your business—you’ll want to hear the full breakdown.
Now—if you’re in a season where you’re tired of sitting in the same problem, I can help you.
